How I Work
What can you expect from working with me?
I work in a way that is warm, down‑to‑earth, and focused on creating real, lasting change. My role isn’t to give advice or “fix” you — it’s to walk alongside you, help you understand yourself more deeply, and support you in doing the meaningful work that leads to growth.
Clients often tell me I’m compassionate and willing to ask the kind of honest, searching questions that spark insight. Sometimes this can feel uncomfortable — and that’s often where the real transformation begins. If nothing shifts, nothing changes.
I draw from a wide range of therapeutic models, tools, and evidence‑based approaches depending on what you bring. This integrative style allows me to adapt to you as an individual, not squeeze you into a single way of working.
My approach includes:
• A non‑judgmental, collaborative space where you can explore what’s going on beneath the surface.
• Intuitive and in‑the‑moment work, paying attention to what’s happening here and now — including what I’m experiencing in the room with you.
• Clear boundaries and gentle challenge, supporting accountability and helping you see patterns that may be holding you back.
• Psychoeducation, where helpful, to empower you with understanding.
• Creative and somatic practices such as sand play, art‑based work, grounding, and body‑awareness techniques.
• Trauma‑informed methods including EMDR and Rewind for PTSD, phobias, and stuck traumatic memories.
• Exploration of past experiences and how they may still be shaping your present.
• Working with intuition and imagery, including symbolic and holistic methods when appropriate.
One of the metaphors I use is the puzzle without a picture:
You come with the pieces; I help you find the edges, make sense of them, and piece things together in a way that becomes clearer, stronger, and more you.
Most importantly, I meet you as a whole human — not just your problems. We work at your pace, while also staying focused on the change you’re here to create.
